LORD GANG PRODUCTION UNIT
The goal of assembling a Lord Gang Production Unit is to bring exposure to producers and add to their catalog of work, along with getting the producers placement with majors and/or labels. With the mixtape work many of our Lord Gang DJs put in, each producer within the Unit will have the opportunity to add to their catalog of work and get their production linked to established and up-and-coming artists. The two most important benefits are exposure and placements.
Requirements:
• Must work with Lord Gang DJs for mixtape production. All production used for mixtape purposes is non-exclusive and no-pay work. The Lord Gang DJ will be required to include the producer’s logo on the Mixtape artwork and must list the producer in the track title. The Lord Gang DJ must include the producer’s name and contact information within the press release announcing the mixtape’s release. The Lord Gang DJ must supply the producer with the mixtape artwork, track listing, press release, and download link. If the mixtape is to be sold, the producer must be given a percentage of sales or an upfront fee and the agreement must be in writing with copies supplied to the mixtape DJ, the producer, and Lord Gang Worldwide.
• All producers must attend the Lord Gang Productions Conference Call each month. These calls will be specifically arranged to benefit producers. We will bring in invited producers to discuss their work and experience to share their knowledge with our Production Unit. We will also invite artists who are looking for production to assist with placements for our Production Unit.
• All Lord Gang Production Unit members will be required to include the logo on their websites and projects. All producers will maintain their identity as individual production entities but must also include “Lord Gang Production Unit” in their tag lines. For example: BEATWRECKA PRODUCTIONS/LORD GANG PRODUCTION UNIT.
• Producers are encouraged to work with any label, artist and/or DJ coalition, but cannot include another DJ coalition in the tag line of their work nor display another DJ coalition’s logo on their websites/projects. Producers may fly their personal logos and the Lord Gang Production Unit logos only, unless signed to a label. Label logos are encouraged if you are lucky enough to get a label deal.
